Frequently Asked Questions

Each website is different and until we know more about what you are after, it really is impossible to give a figure. We’ve given starting prices on the Website Design page, but we’d need to discuss your requirements in more detail before we can give you a quote. Contact us for a friendly chat about your specific requirements.
This is even more difficult to answer than the previous question about website design costs. With SEO it really is ‘how long is a piece of string?’. If you are just having an SEO Setup performed then there will be a definitive quote once we’ve discussed your requirements, but for ongoing work, most clients simply put in as much as they can and we work to that budget. If this brings the desired rewards then the budget can be increased. Unfortunately, trying to get to the top of organic (free) search results often means you have to take the risk and throw as much budget as you can into it in order to see if it is successful. See our SEO page for more information or contact us for a friendly chat about your specific requirements.
There are two budgets required for Google Adwords – our own fee and Google’s fee. Ours will be much less than Google’s! You can see our starting prices on our Adwords page, but these do depend on the size of your business and Adwords campaigns.
Regarding Adwords costs, it really is ‘how long is a piece of string?’. We will discuss a starting budget with you and then discuss increasing it once it has settled down and its performance has been analysed. However, enough budget is needed in order to gather performance data so a few quid/day isn’t really going to cut it in most instances. Contact us for a friendly chat about your specific requirements.
This depends on the amount of work you want us to do… a highly active social networking campaign looking to increase followers and activity quickly, with us in sole charge of the accounts, will obviously cost much more than posting a couple of times a week, but is likely bring more results! In larger campaigns we highly recommend extra budget for paid Facebook and/or Twitter ads and boosts to grow genuine followers and increase your reach. See our Social Networking page for starting prices or contact us for a friendly chat about your specific requirements.
You can see our starting prices on our website tests and analysis page. Prices for monthly packages for regular analysis to see how the website and marketing strategies are performing, along with insights into visitor behaviour, would need to be decided based on how much work would be involved. Contact us for a friendly chat about your specific requirements.
We can help you with that! It may be useful to look at your competitors and let us know of any websites you like, or any features on them that you like. If you really haven’t got a clue though you can just give us a free rein and we’ll come up with some ideas for you. Contact us for a friendly chat about your website design project.
This depends on our workload and the size and complexity of the website. It might also be dependent on any data that you may be supplying, such as content, images, access to domain names, etc. We will discuss the timescale with you when going through your website design requirements. This is up to Google but there are things that can be done to speed the process up. We will do our bit to prompt Google to crawl the website. Getting links to the website on social media, news releases, etc. can also really help speed things up (reputable linking sites only). If you want to appear high on Google search results more quickly you could consider Google Adwords.
Whether it be a new website or SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) work, it WILL TAKE TIME for Google to recognise and trust the changes. It will then take more time for you to slowly climb the page positions. In our opinion, unless you are in an incredibly niche market or are going to be headline news, anyone saying they can get you to position 1 instantly is likely using ‘black hat’ techniques which could get you struck off Google. You are competing against other companies who probably also have SEO campaigns so you need to continuously work hard over several sectors to prove to the viewer and Google that you are better than the rest. If you want to appear at the top of the search results more quickly you could consider Google Adwords.
SEO stands for ‘Search Engine Optimisation’. This basically means optimising your website for search engines such as Google. These days, however, it means much more than just optimising your actual website. Nowadays, there are so many areas that affect your website ranking. Onpage factors can include optimisation of content, coding, metatags, images and speed. Offpage areas include blogs, backlinking, social networking. You can read more about SEO on our Blog, or contact us for a friendly chat about your SEO requirements.
Yes – absolutely. We have worked with many Webmasters to optimise their websites.
For monthly plans, we only ask that you give us 30 days notice. However, we strongly advise that you continue your plan for at least six months. It takes time for any efforts to be recognised by Google and it needs to be an increase of genuine traffic that Google can trust.
